We’re on tour on the East Coast of Canada.

I’m sure you’ve heard it all before. It’s beautiful out here and the people are very friendly and musical. Well, it’s all true. And pictures and words never do it justice.

We started in Halifax, then performed north of there on Cape Breton Island, and then took the 12 km Confederation Bridge to PEI. Despite a snowstorm in PEI, the crowd showed up and we had a few minutes after the show to hang out with our former sound tech Bob Picard who lives there now. For once, Bob could sit and chill instead of doing all of the real work that goes into a show!

Yesterday we were in St. John, NB and now we’re on the way back to Halifax with 165 km to go. iPhones are amazing and allow us to blog on the road, literally.

Anyway, that’s what I mean by the title of this blog – Circular Logic. Sometimes the tour stops aren’t in the order that you’d prefer but that’s how it goes.

After this, we snake our way back through New Brunswick, then cut across Maine back to Ottawa, and we’re home in about a week’s time.

The crowds so far have been amazing (we have yet to end a show without an encore). Yesterday we performed twice actually. The first show was at Backstreet Records for an in-store performance. We didn’t know how it was going to go over but as we started, people start streaming in and stayed for a bit while we jammed our tunes out.

That night we hit a popular music venue called Vintage Bistro in Hampton, NB. There are musicians performing there several times per week and I can see why they keep coming back. The venue is very intimate and almost feels like the “kitchen parties” the East Coast people are famous for.

We’ll be glad to see Halifax again in about 2 hours and hope to knock out another good show with another great crowd.
