The Essentials have such amazing and supportive fans!

Occasionally, we even receive gifts from some of our fans (but please don't feel the need to go out and get us any gifts after reading this blog). We are especially grateful for the homemade gifts we receive, the ones that are made with love.

Since my time as an 'Essential', we've received some pretty awesome gifts from fans, such as: framed photos, homemade bracelets, drawings, and most recently, a pair of earrings...well, that particular gift wasn't exactly meant to be shared with the boys (unless they want to start some sort of a new trend where guys wear girly earrings), but this was a very special gift because the earrings were made by a really young fan of The Essentials, named Jessi (Jewels by Jessi).

The earrings are fabulous, I absolutely love them! I put them on as soon as I got my pretty little hands on them. In fact, I wanted to wear them to the very next gig...and I did!! I wore them while we sang the National Anthems at the Toronto Raptors game last Friday! :)

If you've ever seen an Essentials show before, then you know that we also like to give gifts. We always love to give away a couple of CD's at each show to our lucky "voluntolds" (aka: volunteers that are told what to do onstage).

Today, we also picked our lucky winner of The Essentials CD Draw at the Village Playhouse Theatre during the run of "Real Estate" (January 14 - February 5). Congratulations to our winner, Lisa Metzger! We hope you enjoy a signed copy of our latest album, Nothing But Blue!
